No. Whether reusable or not, you in effect save the LX because you need to build a PC number for programs to use. So you already must save it either as part of the PC number or separately. . And "to a file" - no. You need to save it somewhere that persists across the termination of your program. "A file" is far from the only choice for that. Common storage is one such possibility.
