OTOH ... IBM finally recognized the requirement to make it *easy* for us to obtain this information via a CP command.  I think it was added in z/VM 5.2 and was retrofit back to then currently supported releases.

HOWEVER, I can't for the life of me remember what the CP command is.  I thought it was a new option on CP QUERY TAPES or CP QUERY RDEV ...

I remember when the command was introduced thinking .... "Gee, this is non-obvious ... I'll probably never remember what this is when I need it?"

Perhaps one of the IBMers can help us out ...

Subject: DFSMS/VM config question,

Hello.  I'm trying to figure out how to code a parameter with regards to DFSMS.
The parameter name is:   RM_AUTO_LIBRARY
It is located in:   DGTVCNTL.DATA   file.   This file is located on the 1B5 mdisk of DFSMS
or in can be in  SFS pool     VMSYS:DFSMS.CONTROL.
Specfically, the seqnum.  The IBM CE did not provide this value nor do I (respectfully) think he would know what it is.
Is located somewhere on the Tape Library Manager  pc?
Thanks,
Steve G.
