That set's EREP OFF but NETVIEW's still there when you Q REC: EREP OFF 00000000 002 NETVIEW INACTIVE Also the next IPL puts it back on again. I tried a FORCE IPL for the heck of it yesterday. No help. We did open a problem with IBM this morning. Just hoped that someone on the listserv may have gone through this one already.

Try CP RECORDING EREP OFF QID NETVIEW. CP is complaining because RECORDING is ON for NETVIEW, but NETVIEW isn't connected to the *LOGREC system service. CP should remember the OFF state (for warm IPLs) and not complain any more until you get around to doing a cold start. The issue for a COLD start is that the RECORDING command also creates an authorization. The cold start deletes that authorization.
