I certainly do expect NETVIEW to remain in the list until you do a cold start. As I said, RECORDING also creates an authorization to connect to *LOGREC as well as controlling the flow of EREP record to the guest. The authorization remains regardless of the ON/OFF state. If a WARM IPL is changing the state to ON, even when you have it OFF (and you did a normal shutdown), that *may* be a problem. (The Support Center will figure it out.) A FORCE IPL has no effect unless you have damaged or offline spool volumes. The "FORCE" says what to do in case of an error. Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
