I just finished my z/VM 5.2 install in June (after a DASD upgrade to
get off the internal disk on the MP3000 and a processor upgrade to
something that supported 5.2).
There is no TDSK on any 520 volume by default. There is reference to
making a 520SPL volume for SPOOL and and a 520PAG volume for PAGE, but
nothing in the Guide for Automated Installation and Service about
needing to define TDSK. I did, but only because I knew I had some
before and users using it.
There is no SPOOL or PAGE on 520RES and they did away with the small
amount of TDSK too, it seems. Only DRCT on 520RES.
