Can any VM systems programmers recommend a good training course for seasoned mainframe sysprogs who are expanding into z/VM? The course I am
looking for should teach how to properly install, maintain, debug, tune, expand, plan, etc. including network, security, operations, etc. for a serious systems programmer. If you're a vendor/trainer, please do not respond with your sales pitch. I want recommendations from actual users only. And, if you can only recommend NOT going to someone's particular course, speak up please. I worked with VM many years ago, so am aware of some of the concepts, but don't recall many of the details. Now, we're wanting to evaluate zVM for our Linux systems. On two occasions so far people have been signed up for IBM education on VM, only to have the classes cancelled at the last minut e due to an insufficient number of students. So, although IBM offers what sounds like a good class, they aren't delivering it. I could rant on abou t that for a while, but what's the value?
