Thanks for your reply Rob.

I'm looking to use the new XIV box to for DB2 space in a DB2/WebSphere environment.
The I/O and channel utilization currently is not a problem, but CPU can be.
So I was more concerned with processor overhead.
We use full pack mdisks (DS8100) for the Linus guests and this works great for
backups (HiDRO) and cloning.
I would like to keep this capability with EDEVs as long as there is no high CPU cost.
