New issue 1676 by CasperVector: Candidate panel can be out of screen under
some circumstances
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1676
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Gentoo (unstable tree)
Architecture (i386, x86_64): x86_64
IBus version: 1.5.4
Input method name and version: 1.5.0
Python version: 2.7.5, 3.2.5 and 3.3.3 coexisting
dbus version: 1.6.18
dbus-python version: 1.2.0
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications): 2.4.22 and 3.8.7 coexisting
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a terminal emulator.
2. Deliberately position the top-left corner of the terminal.
3. Input something (without pressing the space key) under ibus-pinyin.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The candidate panel should be positioned such that no part of it is out of
screen. Instead the panel always shows bottom-right relative to the input
point, which causes it to be (partly or entirely) out of screen if the
input point is too bottom and/or too right.
Please provide any additional information below.
The WM on my machine is XMonad.
This problem can be reproduced even with only one display.
