Here are png screenshots of the misbehavior. One in xfce desktop, and two
in "mate" desktop (similar to gnome 2). In two of them, I am typing in
different terminal applications. In the other, I am typing in a textarea
in "chromium" browser. In these tests I am typing random nonsense as fast
as I can, in each test ibus-daemon uses more than 10% of one cpu core. If
I type at normal speed, it uses around 4.6% of one cpu core. This is a
fast computer, ibus-daemon should not be using even 0.5% of a cpu core to
forward keystrokes to applications.
