My boat came with a CNG (compressed natural gas) stove. While this is a
safe system (CNG is lighter than air so it rises) , I had two problems with
the system:

CNG is not available in Louisville, KY. I would have to go to either
Evansville or Indianapolis, IN to refill the tank.

The CNG tank was installed in the lazereatte(sp) and I didn't feel I needed
all that weight in the aft end of the boat.

I did not want to have to deal with propane in the boat. I have a gas grill
but don't mount it on the rail unless we are going overnight and will use
it. I realize that issues with leaking propane tanks are very rare but....

So, I installed an Origo 3000 and have been very happy with it. Yes, it was
more expensive but I can sleep better. I'm probably too paranoid but there
is always the anchor to worry about.

Hi Bryan,

I converted the original Pressure Alcohol stove into a new propane stove for
under $50 on Aquadesiac.

I bought a new camping stove from Harbor Freight and I installed the burner
eliments into the old stove. It was an easy conversion and the stove looks
like it was made at the factory.

I need to replace the propane galley cook top. Any recommendations? There is
a drawer below so the gimbaled version probably wont be practical anyway...

Thanks,
