I unscrewed and moved the refrigerator and then unscrewed the cover above the tank. I opened up the engine compartments all around for light and kept another light directly above the fuel tank. I saw the sending unit and everything else very clearly and looked for evidence of a leak, but there was none. I tightened the tight scres anyway. I checked the top, sides and felt around the bottom but could not find anything. I checked the hoses from the tank to the engine and still found nothing. The tank still reads almost full after several hours of running it and the only evidence of diesel is in the bilge and of course, the smell in the boat. I'm kind of at a loss. What else can I check? I'm on the boat right now so if anyone has any ideas, I have a set of tools and a desire to get to the bottom of this.
