Don, I too replaced the curved cabin-top traveler with the Garhauer 6:1.  I 
believe I have pictures here on this site.  6:1 is wonderful; I think 4:1 would 
be too light in heavier weather.

I also recommend replacing your mainsheet block with a triple-cam with becket.  
Then, change the routing of your mainsheet so that at the last block on the 
boom it returns to the traveler and into the cockpit rather than going to the 
mast down and around to the starboard winch. I have pictures of this from 10 
years ago or so when I did it at http://home.comcast.net/~sailrmann/ under 
hardware. About $90 for the block and shorten your current mainsheet.
