Doug:  I had to look like heck to find mine up nearly under the lip of the 
transom on the starboard side.  It is there, indiscernible, and waiting for me 
to do a rubbing this spring before the boat goes back into the water.  
Hopefully, I will get a full number as the State of NY is not too happy with me 
for not giving them a number that complies with their expectations.  They 
registered the boat, but have not sent me a title.

I will have a look again but neither me nor the surveyor saw any numbers on the 
transom. Are they typically on the hull below the hull to deck seal or above? I 
posted a picture during survey of the transom in the album called Doug's C27- 
no name yet...
