Now I'm trying to remember what the HIN looks like on our C270. Something I've been around recently has molded letters. I'll have to look tomorrow and see if they adopted a new methodology as the business grew.
Wing Tip is documented so I can just about rattle off her federal ID but haven't had the need for the HIN since she was new. Sure enough Phil, you were right. There is the HIN etched into the hull just below the rub rail and just above the gas tank vent. Looks like it was added after the boat was built.
