Look at Aqua Meter.  Cost is $100.  My boat has one that has been around for 24
years.  It serves me well.  I don't think a $500 Ritchie would be 5 times
better.

I need to add a compass to my steering binnacle, there is currently no fixed
mount compass aboard. I am looking on line at a Rule industries Cruiser
binnacle mount compass for about $100. The only other option seems to be the
Ritchie navigator for about $500 - 600. I know you usually get what you pay
for, but that is a lot of money. Is anyone using the Rule compass and do you
have an opinion regarding the quality and accuracy of same? Thanks in advance.
Jeff
