There's not enough info for a "remote" diagnosis, however it sounds like
both your units are tied together as the both have the same problem at the
same time. Sounds like a wiring problem, most likely a bad connection. Then
again it could be something as simple as aliens preparing for a landing in
your area and blocking all  electronic emissions.

I have the same problem. My depth usually shows 2.5 or 3.5 and my speed
doesnt show anything. I am planning on disconnecting the wire terminals and
cleaning them. That helped on my last boat. If that doesnt work, I may just
rely on the handheld gps for speed and the paper chart for the depth. Will
be watching the thread to see if anyone else has any insight.
