See if they have any Romulan ale, much like Cuban rum, it's banned in the
Star Fleet

i have, in fact, received confirmation of an alien ship landing in the
nearby vicinity. i've been informed that the capt. of said ship will be
making contact with me later on this week to go over the benefits of some
antifouling paints over others. i'm also told that these lifeforms are very
schooled in the arts of archaic electronic instruments, i.e. depth sounders
and speed logs, and will be more than happy to oblige a fellow voyager such
as myself. do any of you have any questions or messages you'd like me to
relay? i'm also thinking of bringing up the "what does everyone keep aboard
for drinking?" question that has become quite the discussion here. hopefully
they'll have some insight on the best libation to imbibe when star
travelling. wish me luck!

aren't reading? they're both getting power and they're both displaying
things other that that which i wish for, akin to the blinking 12:00 on the
VCR mocking my presence. we had the first of the season sail today for our
family with nice breezes and great weather. now if i can just tell how fast
i'll be going when i run aground i'll be set.- thanks!
