You did not mention what year the boat is.  Many things are different on some 
year models.  On my 86, I installed deck plates in the anchor locker to access 
the cleat nuts.  Probably not what you wanted to hear.  I tried all sorts of 
socket, extentions, and universal swivels and did not have any luck going from 
the v-berth.

one of the bolts holding my port bow cleat has snapped. It appears that the 
cleat is so outboard that it may be part of the hull/deck joint. I can't find 
access to the nut as it seems to be through-bolted. I have not been able to 
find access to the nut to replace the bolt.
I haven't completely taken apart the V berth and there is a flimsy bulkhead at 
the upper forward compartment. Has anyone had to replace a bow cleat bolt and
