The PO of my boat cut access holes on either side of the anchor locker to 
access the nuts. They are closed off with duct tape when not used for 
tightneing nuts.  I thought about putting water tight access ports in the holes 
for piece of mind in the event the that we take one over the bow but the size 
didnt seem too close to standard.  I may just use a thin piece of "starboard" 
and bedding compound/ screw it down to cover the holes, yet keep them accesible 
if necessary.  On the up side, it does make it easy to tighten the nuts, which 
by the way, if you drop into the void are unable to be 
retrieved......................
