I suspect it is the heat of operating the motor that is the concern. I would
imagine the transmission would get quite hot, both from its own internals
(friction bands and plates) and the fact that it is bolted to a giant piece
of metal that has little explosions occuring inside thousands of times a
minute, amongst other reasons. :)
