I have my Nissan 9.8 (Tohatsu) mounted on the center line, I'm just curious why
you're mounting it on the port side.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I just bought a 9.8 HP Tohatsu. I am moving it to a
bracket on the portside this coming weekend. I have cut and fit a plywood panel
that I glassed up to fit inside the transom. I have all the suggested hardware
from Catalina Direct. I'll need to drill through the transom for the fuel and
battery cables. I plan on bonding the cover to the transom as a permanent
install. I'd be interested in any suggestions that would help strengthen this
set up.
