It's definitely a regional/climate thing, Storme.  It's well known that
desert areas of North America are considered SE-free zones.  I think Robyn
boards a few at her place who were sent there simply to get relief.   Other
people have sold or given their horses to people in the more arid west.  If
you don't have SE in Hawaii, count your lucky stars.

Actually, I've heard people accuse those of us who have Icelandic's in
warmer climates of being unfair to the horses for not letting them have
access to cold... :)
