i would take my own water i think! In fact I have been looking at
systems people have for carrying large quantities of water. The tank
you buy that fits in the corner of the tack room and then some rig
jobs that look effective, a barrel and a syphon even :) I took the
guys to the vet, Tivar too, got his west nile so I cant ride him
today, I always let them rest a day after a shot like that. I love my
vet! But he dioes this thing where duiring the week he tacks on 30
bucks extra for an appt but every sat has a "clinic" first come first
serve, no office fee, cheaper, if a problem crops up during the week
or you need something you can just go and be there early in line and
get out quickly. But they sometimes have so many horses thru there.
I have watched them wash hands, use gloves, disinfectant, but I won't
let my horses touch noses or graze there etc. When things are going
around I honestly hate to go there but susan from saddleuptack on the
other list pointed out how upper respiratory things in fla are just
off the chart now due to smoke from fires. so would aggravate even a
minor thing. i dont think I will ride with anyone til it passes...
