Karen, I'm real nervous about the treeless saddle concept because of riding with a lady who weights a lot less than I do, but still has difficulty getting on and off her horse. She works for Candace Kahn, so I suppose she's using one of the saddles Candy sells. She rides 50's and 75's, farther than I probably will, and her horse sometimes gets s little sore and weary. That sounds pretty stupid. Her horse is more sore and weary than you would expect her to be.
I am concerned about my weight (160 lbs) and I am trying to do something about that and about the horse's back over the longer times we might spend out on trail. When I first returned to riding after my back injury, I worried about not staying centered. I knew that I wasn't because my right stirrup leather kept stretching. I seem to have resolved that. I have to wonder if it was associated with scoliosis. My right shoulder wants to drop lower too if I am not thinking about staying balanced - even while typing. Nancy
