The iron pipe sort? I would be very careful using them for a small space, like a stall. Most horses seem ok with them, but for the horse who paws a lot, they can get a foot stuck in them, and that can be very dangerous. I occasionally use my "round pen" (actually it's more oval) as a paddock, but I keep watch on the horses inside. Runa and Gracie are prone to paw, and it makes me very nervous to leave them in it unattended. Karen Thomas, NC >
