You know, I really wish we could leave race and
ethnicity out of this. The trainer I reported happend
to train Peruvian Horses. He was not abusive because
he was Peruvian.
I know plenty of American horse owners who are equally
cruel but I am not going imply that "gringos" are
especially unkind to their horses. There was an
Amercian Western trainer who used to bloody his horses
with spurs. Another one used to tie a horses to
telephone polls all day without water to teach them to
not pull. There are many rescued each year in
deplorable living conditions being run by Anglos in
the States. The point is that there are good and bad
in all races and ethnic backgrounds
My husband and daughter are Cuban. My husband's family
is lives in Cuba and you could not find a group of
people who love animals more than they. I have been
to Cuba many times. Thoguh they have little in the way
of material goods, they try their best to care for
their animals. My neice rescues homeless animals in
Cuba and gives what little food they have to feed
them.
Please, let us not generalize. It just is not fair to
all the good people we are lumping together with the
bad.
