Pasos are a spanish breed and most paso breeding farms in the us are in florida and most are owned by hispanic people from cuba and south america. 2. There is a brio thing with pasos that they train for that is sorta magnificent and at the same time, scarey. 3. Spanish influence in florida is like french influence in louisiana, part of the culture. 4. and you can generalize about races to an extent. Hispanic people for instance are very family oriented and matriarchal. and they make incredible coffee in miami :) and uhmn, was it offensive to anyone when we were talking about southerners recently? and someone said they read something on a restroom wall in Georgia and apparently felt that because of that, she could judge southerners accordingly. You can look up the florida statistical abstract online and it will give you demographics about hispanic cultures in florida. For instance, oh gosh I am on a roll now.... Florida was once the largest cattle market in the US, bigger than texas, because of spanish cattle. In every state you have to study history and there are some things in each state you have to hear all about all the time, and in florida its how Juan Ponce De Leon came here looking for the fountain of youth. Florida is the name given to our state by the spanish who arrived and saw lots of flowers. we had lots of spanish animals left here that we enjoy descendants of today. The florida cracker horse, a gaited breed, is descended from spanish horses. Our wild pigs are spanish. We have jaguarundi wild cats breeding in the swamps here that escaped from roadside zoos in the forties. also iguanas. Paranas. You can walk a block on south beach and go into five businesses speaking spanish from five different spanish countries (I've done it). and uhmn, did I mention the coffee??
