My limited experience with Paso Finos was that the
ones I rode seemed to be "hotter" than the Peruvians I
have ridden. There was one who would work himself up
into a sweat just being saddled. But the owner
(ignorant in my opinion) would hurl paper bags at the
horse, shake plastic bags at him and just generally
terrorize the poor animal thinking he was making him
bomb proof. He wasn't trying to be mean but it just
made the stallion more jumpy. I don't think Peruvian
Pasos are very common in Florida. Poor thing would
bold if a leaf dropped by him.
