Susan, I'm sorry you are so sensitive to every post I make. We can only breed one mare to one stallion at a time - we breed individuals, not the entire breed. Discussions of breeding practices make no sense to me if they are too "in general", and we simply can't assume that breeding to "an Arab" is always a good thing...and with Icelandic's, I think it would often be less-than-ideal. If you don't agree, would you mind giving some specific examples of when and why an Icelandic and an Arab might make a good cross? I'm not sure that I would think that breeding "an Arab" to "a Peruvian" is a good thing...in general. But Lynn cited a particular case that sounded very sensible, with a particular goal in mind.
