Tosca is indeed 1/4 Peruvian. I just failed to fine the website for
a breed
developed in Germany (I think) of horses with Icelandic/Peruvian
bloodlines.
Niels West was apparently trying to do something similar. Although I
thought it was heartening that a man in his late 80's would decide to
develop a new strain of horses, I was not initially interested in
buying a
crossbred horse.

I am pitifully short on time otherwise I'd do this for you. I get to
read only a few posts a day when I absolutely need to sit down. The
breed was developed by Walter Feldmann in Germany. He and his family
live in Aegidienberg, Germany, so they called the new breed (part
Icelandic/part Peruvian Paso) Aegidienberger. So if you either google
that or Walter Feldmann you should be able to find the info you want.
They explained the concept to at one time in the dim past. Still, I
would not do it because the breeds conflict in what they evolved with.
Icelandic adapted to the cold, Peruvian to heat. I don't get it.
Anyway.............
