every time people on here talk about strangles there are always a few who come forward and say oh, strangles isnt so bad. just a bad cold. but I tell you what, i would rather have anything run thru my place than strangles! it just keeps popping back up and up, coming back to haunt you! Even the vaccination is bad! And all the focus and legislative rules for equine infectious anemia... even BEFORE they did anything about it, requiring coggins, it was not a huge deal. certainly not as huge a deal as the rhino and herpeviruses that go around like wildfire. some of those are as bad as strangles too! but at least the vaccinations for those are ok... Janice -- even good horses have bad days sometimes.
