Cute babies!

OK, if the horse naturally holds it's head high and proud, why does there
have to be so much contact to present the horse that way in shows,
competitions, evaluations? Wouldn't the horse be doing it naturally?

The two statements that the gal made don't fit together: bred for contact,
and bred for high head carriage.

Icelandics, to me, do not have high heads naturally. To me, they are more
like western pleasure horses, if we were to allow them to carry themselves
naturally when ridden.

Any horse can raise it's head, run with it's head up, for certain occasions,
but is that it's natural conformation? Is it a sustained high head
carriage?
