Thank you Michael and Wolfgang, I definitely am retracting my statement about the documentation. My company was considering purchased a monitoring solution (very expensive). I convinced them to try Nagios or Icinga before paying for a solution. I have been using Linux for quite a while and love Linux, and Icinga will do everything that the purchased solution will do. After convincing them to try it, I was given less than 16 hours to have it up and working with some presentation on the monitor. I accomplished that task by jumping right to the "Icinga with IDOUtils Quickstart" guide. In doing so, I jumped over most of the beginning documents that you have pointed me towards.
Today I plan on going through those documents and pick up what a missed. Then I am going to try setting up the hostgroups. I still want to contribute to the documentation if needed.
