Hello James,

I have raised this issue, too. The title of the 'nameprep' draft
is now "Stringprep Profile for Internationalized Host Names",
and this is an accurate reflection of it's content. 'nameprep'
therefore depends on 'stringprep'. If we want to go to Proposed
Standard with 'nameprep', we cannot have 'stringprep' still as
an I-D. Given your schedule for 'nameprep', it seems impossible
for a new WG to be formed and to take up and finish 'stringprep'
in time. Also, it seems quite dangerous to leave 'stringprep'
to it's authors without at least close coordination with this
WG. Leaving this at suspicions is not good enough. It shouldn't
be difficult to improve on this given that the authors of
stringprep are one of the co-chairs in this group and an
active participant of this group.

Regards, Martin.
