after some checks, it appears that we have a warranty on the disk drives
on iglu's server, from ligad (that's information that Ilya managed to
find). i'm supposed to call them tommorow and set up an on-site check by
their technician.

the question now is what do we do if the technician wants to replace the
disk? i assume that either he replaces the disk on-site, or takes the
broken disk, and brings a new disk after a day (or 2 or 3). how do we save
the raid's data (i.e. the mirror's data) ? as i see it, we'll have to
erase everything and retrieve it all from scratch.

this also indicates that we wish to use a raid level 5 next time, so in
case of a disk error/crash, we don't have to refetch the full mirror.

ideas, anyone?
