You know, there is something I completely fail to understand, maybe you can educate me. Why do you insist on expensive SCSI and RAID hardware, when you can (supposedly, I didn't really check) IDE disks for much cheaper? If Ligad/Sun/Actcom/whoever are rushing to buy us things I wouldn't object, but what if the tides have turned and companies aren't that willing to throw away their money now? I claim that the performance difference is inconsequential to us (if performance mattered, we should have upgrade the machine too). The "virtual volume" feature of RAID can be simulated in software - or better yet keep the seperate partitions separate and get protection from Debian mirrors filling all the space for Redhat mirrors, and so forth, like seems to be happening now. -- Nadav Har'El | Monday, Dec 16 2002, 11 Tevet 5763 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |----------------------------------------- Phone: +972-53-245868, ICQ 13349191 |Always go to other people's funerals, http://nadav.harel.org.il |otherwise they won't come to yours.
