I dont know why sharad suggested otherwise, but i would suggest you to install ubuntu using the wubi installer first. Play around with the system till you get a hang of the linux way of doing things and then go for a permanent install. If you use the wubi install, you can remove ubuntu from add/remove programs just like other programs. Have fun with your new linux box.
