I installed KDE 1.1, both the prerelease and the final one from the PCQuest
distribution . However I am unable to get KDE to display backgrounds in
colour.While XDM shows background JPEGs and GIF's w/o trouble, KDE just
refuses to do so.X is running in 32 bit colour mode.The X Server being used
is the PERMEDIA 2 acclerated server and all other apps like GIMP have no
trouble.My video card is the Creative Graphics Blaster AGP with 4 MB RAM.
