No Such Luck! No library is missing . KDE never gave ANY error at all. Tried
Ldd for all the files in opt/kde/bin.Same result, No missing library or
broken dependancy.
X is configured to start in 32 bpp mode. Tried running it in 8 bpp, still no
colour! However when i ran it under 16bpp colours magically appeared ! 24
bit mode gave colours again, however the colours were all wrong . there was
a heavy component of red, blue showed up as green etc. Could the X Server
itself be broken. The documentation for the card states that it is
accelerated for 16 bit modes. There is no mention of any capability for
other modes , accelerated or otherwise.Shouldn't 8 bpp show up correctly in
any case?
Thanks in advance!
