WAIT ! there could be a way out!The SiS 6215c supports VESA BIOS 2 if i
remember right.Linux Kernel 2.2 onwards supports a VESA Framebuffer X Server
. There is a howto on this in the usr/docs/howto/mini directory. I use
kernel 2.2.1 where on including vesafb i keep getting compile errors so it
might be advisable to use a newer stable kernel -2.2.5 -e.g.
Include vesafb support in your kernel and set the x server to vesafb.
hopefully you may get something like 800x600 16 bit.
Hope this helps.

P.S.
AVOID THE ENTIRE SIS FAMILY henceforth. I have tried even the 6326 AGP with
TV out. That card comes for around Rs 1150 and it has h/w support for MPEG,
AGP 2x etc. , etc. However it managed to lock up my machine whenever i tried
to run X. I got the same result on 3 other machines where i tried it out. I
had to get rid of it .:-(
