Yep sure. But I don't think that with my limited knowledge of linux will 
carry me far on the road to developing open source software. Thats probably 
because I have very little programming experience, and that too on visual 
basic :-) (please don't flame me)

Well I'm very sorry to say that being a linux newbie brought up on a staple 
of windoze gui makes me a dumb user. I try to use the command line and am 
already getting around to appreciating the power of the bash shell. But 
still I have not been able to overcome micro$oft's fever. It does help, for 
me at least to have a gui in front of me.


And as for Dhruv's suggestion of Kdevelop, I have to admit that I have no 
info on it. I haven't even seen a screenshot or any article ( reflects my 
limited knowledge)
