*** News flashed that Sahitya Samsad along with three
other software groups is working on a word processor
of bangla with Asok Mukhpadhyay as main architecht.
Possibly it will be in Windows. But He had done great
jobs in different aspects of Bangla (with Bangla
Academi and Samsad). He may be a key person in making
Bangla Linux for his love of bangla.
***What is important is that there will be a new
keyboard layout(there are many unscientific ones) and
a character mapping for bengali alphabets. I believe
that he will again do a great job. The practice of
having different keyboard layouts and different
character mappings MUST STOP and all must be
compatible (be it linux OS,or any word processor in
any OS). I have tried many word processors but am
almost disgusted aboout disgusted.
*** One must work along with Bangladesh groups.
