the voice of dissent is the herald of progress, yeah. but stallman's
opinions and arguments in this matter are so famously well-established
that we can hardly learn any more about them. and we do not presume (i
presume) to educate him, even if we could hope to make him see the other
side of the argument, which we can't (and i'm not too sure there *is*
another side). therefore i propose that for the sake of peace and
hospitality we do not raise difficult issues with him when (if) we get
to meet the great man. i for one shall be satisfied with meeting him and
hearing him preach firsthand, for his pedagogic skills are legendary.
