Free/libre and open source software has many leaders, and many more
followers. RMS is just one of the first leaders, and has hit own
followers -- in some ways these followers are the next level of leaders.

I've been called a 'Stallmanist' over the years, given my political
beliefs in free software are very similar to his own. That being said,
there are other advocates of free software that I would bring to convey
messages to different people. Long-term strategy sometimes requires the
'leaders' to not be the most visible people, and to allow their
'disciples' to do the work.
