I can't configure my modem in dead rat 8. It is an external GVC
sf1133 vr, worked fine with Mdk8.2. When booting up, the Send data
led lights up during the "Checking for new hardware" part. But kudzu
doesn't detect the modem. Doing ls -l /dev/modem says no such
directory. Doing ls -l /dev/ttyS1 gives:
Crw-rw----      1       root    uucp    4,65    Aug 31 05:01    /dev/ttyS1
(My modem is connected to COM2 in 'doze) Now what should I do
