There are ppl doing this commercially -- aamader Sumeet Moghe is there selling CDs... the benefit abt buying from him is that he pledges to send 50% of the proceeds to FSF India :-) Aside from Sumeet, another person I know of selling Linux CDs at low cost is Gargi Ghoshal of Vodateq.... I've her numbers somewhere, Gargi has sold a lot of CDs at Tata Tea, CSI,. BECS and several other places. If you are contacting her please say that you are a member of ILUG-Cal (do give the full form). And if you think these ppl -- Sumeet/Gargi are expensive, as some might. There are others on the LUG who will willingly burn you the CD at a cost + a little extra.. the little extra is supposed to be donated by the burner toward the LUG funds (as per discussions at the last meeting) -- e.g. Anindya has burnt and distributed more than 20 sets of CDs since COMPASS by his own reckoning. cheers, --indra.
