Hi friends,

Till now, I was loading linux using loadlin because lilo (or grub) could
not do it. I thought the problem was due to faulty partitioning.

Yesterday, I did a low level format of my hard disk using DM and tried to
load linux (only linux in the entire hard disk !). But both DM and linux
installer told me that my hard disk geometry is not properly detected.

I have a 20 GB seagate hdd as primary slave and a creative 48x cdrom drive
as secondary master. I have tried specifying LBA mode in BIOS and forcing
LBA32 to the kernel while booting, but with no success.

Sadly, windows boots properly with the current configuration.

What is the problem and how can I fix it ?

Thank you in advance.
