yep.
and I think text mode install will be relatively painless.

Ahh.. if you are not running GNOME, then things should be OK.
The main memory hogs are usually Nautilus (though for the record,
Nautilus is blazingly fast in GNOME 2.6) and gnome-settings-daemon, and
they don't run if you are running Fvwm.
