It will definitely be. Any current version of Redhat/Fedora/Mandrake would crawl on less than 256M of RAM. I think it is the easiest distribution to use and apt makes it even easier. I use Debian SID btw. It has all the goodies (Gnome 2.4/KDE 3.2 etc.) and I've run GNOME and KDE at the same time on this system with 128M of RAM !!
