What kind of Java are you planning to run under Linux?
App Servers? Desktop Applications?

As far as Java performance is concerned, the Celeron
and the 128mb will slow you down, especially the 128mb
bit. Upgrade that if you can. The more the better.

I generally switch to a lightweight environment when
running java on my laptop - no gnome, no kde, just
windowmaker, firefox and emacs (No Not Vi!!).
